TaylorMade Celebrates 5th Anniversary

Incorporated in November 2005, TaylorMade Tumbling & Cheer began as a small home-based business teaching basic tumbling skills for cheerleading. As interest grew, we enrolled more and more students, and purchased more mats and gymnastics equipment. Soon, the two-car garage was quickly converted to a gym. By August 2006, the owners of TaylorMade had nearly 75 students taking gymnastics and tumbling lessons out of their home on a weekly basis.

Once tumbling down the driveway was no longer viable, Stacy moved the operation to a 4,500 square foot commercial space in Tyrone. Ten months later, TaylorMade expanded this space to better accommodate its rapidly growing recreational gymnastic and cheer student base. In the fall of 2007, TaylorMade introduced its first competitive gymnastics team. The team consisted of three members, two of whom qualified for and represented TaylorMade at the USAG Level 4 Georgia State Championships. Summer 2008 brought more growth and TaylorMade moved to a larger facility in Tyrone. The new facility provided a venue for diverse program opportunities such as camps and parties, in addition to more training space for recreational and competitive gymnastics students.

TaylorMade Gymnastics Training Center, Inc. currently resides in an 8,700 square feet facility on the border of Peachtree City and Tyrone. We still have all of the same comforts that our students and parents have come to enjoy including: Free WiFi, Cable TV, parent viewing room, pro shop, party room, fitness equipment room, air conditioning, and a state-of-the-art video training system. The new facility has ample ceiling height for the above ground pit, student lockers and a large fenced area for unique outdoor activities (weather permitting).

The facility is home to numerous recreational gymnastics and tumbling students between the ages of 18 months and 18 years. TaylorMade's 25-member (and growing) Competitive Gymnastics Team also trains here, as well as several Georgia Special Olympics athletes. Several local cheer teams train with us, too.
